Lando Norris gets robbed in Marbella ahead of Austrian Grand Prix 2023

 


British Formula 1 driver Lando Norris has been robbed in Marbella, Spain, just days before the Austrian Grand Prix. Formula 1 News, The McLaren driver was not at the villa when the robbery took place, but a number of expensive items were stolen, including watches, jewelry, and electronic devices.

Norris confirmed the robbery in a statement on social media, saying that he was "shocked and upset" by the incident. He thanked the police for their "swift" response and said that he was "confident" that the stolen items would be recovered.

The robbery is the second time that Norris has been targeted by thieves in recent years. In 2021, he was mugged for his watch after attending the Euro 2020 final at Wembley Stadium.

The robbery has raised concerns about the security of Formula 1 drivers and their families. In recent years, there have been a number of high-profile robberies targeting F1 drivers, including Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, and Charles Leclerc.

The FIA, the governing body of Formula 1, has said that it is "working closely" with the local authorities in Marbella to investigate the robbery. The FIA has also said that it is "committed to providing the highest level of security" for all Formula 1 drivers and their families.
