Ambati Rayudu Pulls Out of Major League Cricket Stint with Texas Super Kings


Ambati Rayudu, the former Indian cricketer, has withdrawn from the inaugural season of Major League Cricket (MLC). He was set to play for the Texas Super Kings, but he has cited personal reasons for his decision.

Rayudu, who retired from international cricket in June 2023, was one of the marquee signings for the MLC. He was expected to be a key player for the Super Kings, but his withdrawal is a blow to the team.

The Super Kings have not yet announced who will replace Rayudu in their squad. However, they are likely to look for another experienced batsman to fill the void.

Rayudu's withdrawal is the latest setback for the MLC. The tournament has already been hit by a number of other withdrawals, including those of Chris Gayle, Shahid Afridi, and Rashid Khan.
